Women in the Church

A group of 13 women met on Saturday, February 2, 2002 to reorganize the Women in the Church Committee, which is a ministry to all the women of Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church.

The purpose of the Women in the Church is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.

This ministry seeks to provide (a) opportunities for women in the church to use their spiritual gifts; (b) opportunities for fellowship through various planned activities; and (c) ministry to various needs of women.

The structure of this committee is not intended to be hierarchical, but rather relational. Various women have agreed to coordinate a specific area of ministry. They are the points of contact for others to join in or become connected. The goal for all the women of the church is to find within the body a place to fit in. To help accomplish this, the Women in the Church Committee distributes a checklist for women to list their interests. The committee meets 3 or 4 times a year and is open to all the women of the church. The purpose of the meetings is to coordinate our activities, share ideas and pray together.
