Serving with Local Missions
The Local Missions Committee of Faith Church exists to encourage our body to pray for, participate in, and provide financial support to ministries in our community that proclaim the Gospel of Christ.
Our Local Vision
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (I Corinthians 15:58B).
Locally, our church assists with the Frederick Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity, CareNet, and other agencies. We try to be responsive to needs that become known outside of our congregation to share the love of Christ.
Often times a meal provided by friends can brighten someones day or offer comfort during a trial. Our Meal Ministry strives to do just that. When a need becomes known (whether it be a death in a family, a new birth, an illness, or just someone in need of a little extra encouragement), Faith Church works together to provide meals for the person or family in need. If you know of anyone in need or would like to help provide meals, contact the church office.
Pray is a powerful tool of God’s people and cannot be overestimated. The men of Faith Church meet each Thursday morning at 6:30 for prayer and breakfast. Along with this time of prayer, Faith also has an active e-mail prayer chain.
We also maintain a food pantry for those in need. If you are in need or would like to make a donation to the food pantry, please contact the church office. See below for list of foods
