We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors this morning! Visitors, please complete the Welcome card in the pew rack and put it in the offering plate, so we may know how best to minister to/with you. Let’s prepare our hearts with silent Bible reading, meditation, and prayer before the service begins.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

All: O giving God, My heart is drawn out in thankfulness to You, for your amazing grace and condescension to me in the influence and assistance of Your Spirit, for special help in prayer, for the sweetness of Christian service, for the thoughts of arriving in heaven, for always sending me the things I need, for raising me to new life when I am like one dead. I do not want the favor of men to lean on because Your favor is infinitely better.  No poor creature stands in need of divine grace more than I do, and yet no one abuses it more than I have and still do.  How heartless and slow I am! Humble me in the dust for not loving You more.  Every time I exercise any grace, I am renewed in my debt to You, the God of all grace.  I cannot boast when I think how dependent I am upon You for every act of grace; I never do anything but depart from You, and if I ever get to heaven it will be because You will it, and for no other reason.  I love, as a

feeble, afflicted, despised creature, to cast myself on Your infinite grace and goodness, hoping for no happiness but from You; Give me special grace to equip me for special service, and keep me calm and submissive at all times, humble, solemn, and conformed to Your will.

Women’s Bible Study: All women in the church are invited to participate in our Women’s Bible study on Contentment. In Contentment, Melissa Kruger considers what it really means to be content: to place our trust in our good and sovereign God. We will utilize Zoom video conferencing to conduct the study.  An email will be sent in advance of each study with weblink and logon information.  Our next study is on Saturday, May 2nd at 9:00 am and will continue to meet the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month.  There is a study guide Contentment,  by Melissa Kruger which will be used in conjunction with the study.  The study guide is not required; however, it is available for free download or purchase on line at Ligonier Ministries

For 2020, we are continuing to provide a basic Family Worship plan to help enable our families more regularly worship together during the week. In each weekly bulletin, we will provide a Daily Bible Reading plan from “M’Cheyne Daily Bible Reading Plan”, weekly questions from the Westminster Shorter Catechism, and a hymn for you to learn together.
