We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors this morning! Visitors, please complete the Welcome card in the pew rack and put it in the offering plate, so we may know how best to minister to/with you. COMMUNION (God Confirms His Promises to Us)

All: Holy Father, You have called us to be faithful husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters.  We have sinned against that calling.  We have redefined marriage and family to suit our own desires and not Your righteousness.  Father, forgive us and do not visit our sins on our children.  Revive our families.  I desire Christ to be the foundation of my home. Mend our relationships where they are broken.  Restore our marriages.  Return the hearts of mothers and fathers to the children. Keep our children inside the blood stained doors of covenant homes.  May the joy of gospel laughter fill our houses. So build our families that they become the nurseries of heaven. May we live and see the faithfulness of our grandchildren and Your mercies upon our children’s children. We pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

*HYMN 720         Happy the Home When God Is There

For 2021, we are continuing to provide a basic Family Worship plan to help enable our families to more regularly worship together during the week. In each weekly bulletin, we will provide a Daily Bible Reading plan from “A Daughter of the Reformation”, weekly questions from the Heidelberg Catechism, and a hymn for you to learn together.

Week 25

Weekly Hymn:   Happy the Home When God Is There

Heidelberg Catechism–

  • Q33 Why is he called God’s only-begotten Son, since we also are children of God?

Answer: Because Christ alone is the eternal, natural Son of God. We, however, are children of God by adoption, through grace, for Christ’s sake.

  • Q34 Why do you call him our Lord?

Answer: Because he has ransomed us, body and soul, from all our sins, not with silver or gold but with his precious blood, and has freed us from all the power of the devil to make us his own possession.
