We extend a warm welcome to all our visitors this morning! Visitors, please complete the Welcome card in the pew rack and put it in the offering plate, so we may know how best to minister to/with you. CORPORATE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

All:  My heavenly Father, I come to You in need of Your cleansing grace.  Forgive me for all my sins that I have committed against You. You alone are holy and righteous and good, and yet I continue to sin against You in my words, thoughts, and actions. I have not surrendered to You as I ought, nor loved You with all my heart.  Take these and all the other sins that reside in the secret recesses of my heart and make me pure by the shed blood of my Savior, Jesus Christ.  Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.  Come, Spirit of God, and have Your way with me. I yield myself afresh to You and ask that You remove anything in my life that prevents me from absolute obedience and responsiveness to You and Your Word.  Take my life and let it be consecrated to You that I may honor you by the way I live.  Give me the grace to implicitly trust You in all things and help me conquer the fear of putting all matters into Your hands.  Lead me gently and firmly, all the while assuring me of Your presence. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

For 2021, we are continuing to provide a basic Family Worship plan to help enable our families to more regularly worship together during the week. In each weekly bulletin, we will provide a Daily Bible Reading plan from “A Daughter of the Reformation”, weekly questions from the Heidelberg Catechism, and a hymn for you to learn together.

Week 38:

Weekly Hymn:   444 O Zion Haste

Heidelberg Catechism–

Q59 What good does it do you, however, to believe all this?

Answer: In Christ I am righteous before God and heir to life everlasting.

Q60 How are you righteous before God?

Answer: Only by true faith in Jesus Christ. Even though my conscience accuses me of having grievously sinned against all God’s commandments, of never having kept any of them, and of still being inclined toward all evil, nevertheless, without any merit of my own, out of sheer grace, God grants and credits to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had never sinned nor been a sinner, and as if I had been as perfectly obedient as Christ was obedient for me. All I need to do is accept this gift with a believing heart.
